Every pound funds a team, not a programme.
EmergIT is a Community Interest Company. Our statutory asset lock means that profits and assets are permanently committed to our community purpose. They cannot be distributed as dividends or extracted for private benefit. Directors may receive reasonable salaries for their work, as permitted under CIC regulations, but the asset lock ensures that everything EmergIT generates serves its mission. When you give to EmergIT, you are funding a team of four to six graduates to incorporate a real company, build a real product, and take a real shot at becoming founders.
£5k to build a venture.
It costs £5,000 to fund one venture. That is one team, one company, one grant. It costs approximately £1,000 per graduate activated. If you want to know exactly where your money goes, here it is: infrastructure, tools, AI credits, and the operational costs of getting a business from idea to first revenue in six months. Not salaries. Not overheads. Not workshops. Building.
Radically transparent.
EmergIT is not a registered charity, so we cannot currently offer Gift Aid on donations. We are honest about that because we think you deserve to know before you give. What we can offer is complete transparency on how your contribution is used, named recognition if you want it, and the knowledge that you are backing something designed to sustain itself—every successful venture returns capital to the asset lock to fund the next cohort.
Help graduates build jobs.
If you believe that unemployed graduates deserve better than another CV workshop, and that the right response to AI displacing jobs is to help people build new ones—support EmergIT.
